“I am so grateful to Safe Haven for the excellent and personalized care they are giving my stepmother. After transferring her here from a different facility, we saw an improvement in less than a week. Her color returned and she just looked better and healthier.
At half the cost, she receives top notch care: good healthy and nutritious meals (fed to her when it was determined that she couldn’t eat by herself), bathing and personal hygiene, and all the little personal touches like conversation, laughter and hugs. Sandra and her staff are experts at what they do, but most importantly, they treat their charges with love and compassion. My only regret is not having found Safe Haven sooner."

Our Story
Sandra Bodean, proprietor, has a Master's Degree in Sociology, is a Certified Dementia Practitioner, and understands well from personal experience the agony of choosing the right place for a loved one, so she set out to create the best place. In her words, "Caregiving is a calling for me, not a job.
My grandparents' home in the country side was my magical place when growing up, where I would spend all my summers, immersed in nature, enjoying freshly picked fruit and vegetables from our garden, cooking wholesome meals and creating beautiful arrangements with fragrant blooms. I have always enjoyed spending time with the elderly and gravitated toward them - listening to their fascinating stories, learning from their life experiences.
My vision for Safe Haven was recreating my childhood oasis and sharing it with the residents - my symbolic grandparents. Our caregivers share the core values I feel are essential for caregiving: kindness, respect, empathy, a strong work ethic and striving for your best every single day.
